ItsReady: Delivering a High-Standard F&B Platform Under Strict Requirements

ItsReady started during one of the toughest moments for the F&B sector. Restaurants could no longer rely on walk-ins, physical queues, or traditional workflows. The industry needed a way to operate safely while still keeping revenue flowing. But what shaped this project even more than the external pressure was the strict standard from the client, someone with 25 years in the F&B industry and extremely precise expectations for both UI and system behavior.
This is how we deliver ItsReady to transform into a product with 200+ active restaurants.
The Challenge: Navigating a New Reality
The F&B industry faced an existential threat during the pandemic. “Dine in” was limited by government regulations about social distancing, causing service capacities to decrease. This in turn meant fewer customers for traditional restaurants.
- The Problem: Restaurants needed a way to sell food and dishes without physical interaction
- The Goal: Provide a “Pre-order, Take-away, and Delivery” solution that complied with safety regulations while maximizing restaurant throughput
The Solution: A Unified Ecosystem
Vitex engineered a 360-degree digital suite from the ground up, ensuring every stakeholder had a dedicated interface.
| Platform | Target Audience | Key Functionality |
| Admin Backend | System Owners | Global management, analytics, and platform oversight |
| Manager Backend | Restaurant Owners | Menu curation, order tracking, and inventory management |
| User Web & App | End Customers | Real-time ordering, payment, and order status updates. |
| Portal Web & App | General Public | Discovery engine for restaurants and brand introduction. |
The system can even be integrated into the restaurant’s printer, assisting seamless flow across members of the kitchen and the business as a whole.
Tech Stack:
During the initial development phase, the team didn’t simply follow one fixed technical plan. As the product scope became clearer and real F&B workflows were mapped out, several early technical decisions had to be revisited. This included switching certain languages and frameworks and rebuilding some components to ensure the system would scale properly later. At the end, we decided on:
- Backend: Laravel (Robust API foundation)
- Web: NextJS (High performance and SEO-friendly)
- Mobile: React Native (Cross-platform efficiency for iOS & Android)
Project Highlights
Precision Engineering: Working with a highly attentive-to-details customer, we had to maintain a “pixel-perfect” standard to satisfy high-level UI/UX requirements, ensuring the final product was as aesthetically polished as it was functional
Detailed Documentation: The project was guided by long and highly detailed documentation from the client, his previous team also struggled with these guidelines and could not keep up with this. But, Vitex stayed patient and comprehensive. While this provided a clear roadmap, it also taught us how to communicate effectively to grasp key points, identify and fill “functional gaps” that the docs missed.
Outcomes & Impact
“The results of this partnership transformed not only the local F&B landscape but also the life of the founder.”
For ItsReady,
- Rapid Onboarding: The system is so intuitive that new restaurants can be fully onboarded and operational within 1 week
- Scalability: From a “crisis solution” to a market staple, now hosting 200+ restaurants
- Business development: From a “one man show” with the outsourcing team, now ItsReady has employed people working alongside the founder.

For our client,
- Personal Success: After 25 years in the F&B industry, the client was able to transition from his full-time job to managing ItsReady as his primary business.
Lessons Learned
- UI/UX Fidelity Matters: When a client is sensitive to “1-pixel misalignments,” it raises the entire team’s standard for quality. We learned that extreme attention to detail in the UI phase builds deep trust for the backend phase.
- The Documentation Paradox: We discovered that while “well-prepared” documentation is a blessing, it can lead to “information fatigue.” We learned to supplement lengthy specs with Agile sync-ups to catch missing logic early.
- Longevity through Maintenance: Managing a product for 5+ years taught us the importance of clean code and scalable architecture. What was built for a pandemic had to be flexible enough to thrive in the “new normal.”
- Domain Expertise is King: The success of ItsReady was largely due to the client’s 25 years of F&B experience. We learned that the best software happens when technical expertise (Vitex) meets deep industry knowledge.
Final thought
ItsReady is a clear example of what can happen when deep industry expertise meets disciplined, adaptive engineering. The product that began as an urgent response to a crisis now has grown into a scalable F&B platform serving hundreds of restaurants. This is not because of luck, but because of alignment: a founder who understood the domain, and a team committed to building with precision, flexibility, and long-term maintainability.
At Vitex, we carry these lessons forward into every partnership. If you’re looking for a team that can translate complex operational workflows into reliable digital products and stay with you as they evolve, we’d love to collaborate!
