Back
We are looking for a hybrid Product & Project Manager to lead the development of complex financial products. This role is not just about writing user stories; it is about end-to-end delivery ownership.
You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution. You must be comfortable wearing two hats: the Product Manager who defines the vision and requirements, and the Project Manager who drives the timeline, manages resources, and ensures we ship on time.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Requirements
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate high-level business goals into detailed, technical functional specifications.
- Backlog Ownership: Groom and prioritize the product backlog. You are responsible for ensuring the development team always has clear, “ready-to-code” tickets.
- Fintech Domain Logic: Apply your knowledge of financial services (payments, compliance, KYC, lending) to spot edge cases and logic gaps early in the discovery phase.
- Execution & Delivery Management
- Timeline & Roadmap Management: Create realistic delivery plans. You monitor velocity, manage scope creep, and ensure the team hits milestones.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify blockers (technical or business) and resolve them before they impact the sprint.
- Agile Rituals: Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (or partner closely with a Scrum Master) to ensure high team performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the translator between technical engineering teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Client Engagement: Lead weekly status meetings and demos. You must be able to communicate bad news (delays/risks) as effectively as good news, maintaining trust through transparency.
- Conflict Resolution: Navigate conflicting priorities between different departments and negotiate a path forward.
Requirements
- Experience & Domain Knowledge
- 5+ Years Hybrid Experience: Proven experience acting as both a Product Manager (defining features) and a Project Manager (tracking delivery) in a software environment.
- Fintech DNA: Strong background in Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services. You must be comfortable with complex data flows, regulatory requirements, and high-security standards.
- Hard Skills
- Documentation: Mastery of JIRA and Confluence. You write documentation that is so clear it leaves no room for ambiguity.
- Roadmapping Tools: Experience with tools like Productboard, or simple Gantt/Timeline views in Jira.
- English Fluency: Professional proficiency is non-negotiable. You must be persuasive and articulate in both written and spoken English.
- Soft Skills
- Assertive Communication: The ability to say “No” to stakeholders to protect the timeline, while offering alternative solutions.
- Radical Ownership: You don’t wait for someone to tell you a project is off-track; you spot it, flag it, and fix it.
- Cultural Adaptability: Experience working with European (specifically Dutch) clients is a massive plus. You value directness, punctuality, and structured planning.
Benefits
- Salary: Negotiable.
- Laptop, monitor, and necessary equipment for work.
- Fully remote working.
